The rollout of the biggest change in Google AdWords (PPC Campaign) since its launch 15 years ago has begun.
Google has announced a completely new ad platform to build the PPC campaign service.
Expanded text ads and responsive ads will bring an advantage to easy connect with consumers on the Google search engine, with an added advantage of device bid adjustments which ultimately provide more control and flexibility to optimize with greater precision.
Extended text ads are a part of search engine marketing services which will add a number of improvements and functionality changes within AdWords as compared to earlier. As per the new expanded text ads the extra-long ads with double headlines will not be allowed on Google Search.
Expanded text ads are optimized considering the better visibility on the smartphones, tablets and desktop.Now ads with two headlines, each with 30 characters, and one long 80-character description line will be allowed and acceptable by Google. This will increase the 50% more ad text for the other businesses to showcase their products.
Bringing the extended text ads will help the advertisers to showcase more product and services along with implementing the A/B test with standard and extended text ads.
What has changed?
Earlier as a part of search engine marketing services, we had one ad header and two description lines. Ad can have expanded headline with the use of a full stop. The headline could only be 25 characters and the two description lines should be 35 characters.
Now as per the new text ad we should have two 30 character headlines and one 80-character description line.
This will add a lot more words to play with and it offers so many possibilities like more characters mean a greater chance to explain the ad. This will also help the advertisers to stand out more from competitors by including more description about the product or services.
Separate device bidding – Extended Ad adjustment will allow the auto Base bid adjustments which is available for mobile, tablet and desktop.
Responsive Display Ads for native inventory – This will enable the auto generated ads showing the flavour of headline, description, image and url.
